When contacted, Sharma denied he's intending to join politics. "I will have to begin from scratch if I join politics. I intend to return to police duties as early as possible" he told Mumbai Mirror
The source said that "Talks are on and the deal size is expected to be between INR 7,000 crore and INR 9,000 crore. While Indiabulls Power is expecting INR 9,000 crore, the Adani Group is willing to shell out INR 7,000 crore for the Amravati unit."
Adding he had no idea from where and when the bus arrived in city, the PRO said, "On its way to Nagpur, Scania (a Swedish company) people wanted to do branding on the bus and are looking for a suitable place for the purpose."
Speaking to Mirror, criminal lawyer Vijay Pamnani said, "The lack of forensic labs is one of the reasons why the state's conviction record is so poor. Just about 9 per cent of cases result in a guilty verdict, and it could be much more if we have a forensic expert in every district. Especially in cases of sexual assault, lack of forensic help and substandard evidence help the culprits get away. There is a dire need to take measures that would change the medico-legal scenario" he said
