Android bug in most smartphones could let rogue apps run wild

This is, in fact, the method that Google recommends for folks who want to get rid of their old phones. "If you sell or dispose of your device, we recommend you enable encryption on your device and apply a factory reset beforehand" the company said in a statement
Announcing the potential availability of the messaging app on Gingerbread devices, Gadway wrote, "BBM will soon also be available on Android Devices running Gingerbread (v2.3.3+)." However, the BlackBerry executive didn't mention a precise date for the availability of the messaging app on Gingerbread devices...
