This clicking system with a transversal elastic locking has undergone a multi-centre study in France that shows "a very significant improvement in the apnea-hypopnea index” going from 34 to 12 on the average. These results are the same as the ones obtained from studies conducted with much more expensive custom-made orthoses made in the laboratory. Another multi-centre study with 2000 patients monitored during 6 and 12 months has just started. By the first half of 2015, the Nanterre start-up intends to include a computer application that uses sound analysis algorithms. “This application will enable doctors to monitor apnea patients based on the change in the quality of their sleep inin particular the intensity of snores and sleep apnea episodes. They will also be able to assess and monitor the effectiveness of the treatment by this device” confides the Oniris CEO. His company will start marketing this affordable orthoses (€69) in Europe as from November 2014."
