An MoD spokesman said: "Established procedures are in place to ensure that, where possible, no-one under the age of 18 is deployed on operations. On the rare occasions that mistakes are made and soldiers under 18 are deployed, they are returned to the UK as soon as their age is established."
In a written parliamentary answer, Defence Minister Andrew Robathan said: "No such deployment has taken place since 2010. "In the period 2007-10, a total of seven personnel, who were all 17 years old, were confirmed as having entered an area of operations, four on Op Telic, Iraq, and three on Op Herrick, Afghanistan. "We take immediate action to correct any breach of our policy as soon as it is discovered." Mr Robathan said he could only provide information after the introduction of the joint personnel administration system in 2007. He said information from before then could only be provided at "disproportionate" cost. The details emerged following a written parliamentary question from Julian Huppert, Liberal Democrat MP for Cambridge. He asked how many minors had been deployed since British military operations started in Afghanistan in 2001 and Iraq in 2003."
Monty Jennings, CFO of Synergy Resources, commented, "We are pleased to demonstrate continuing growth in our proved reserve base.$ The large increase in PDP reflects our acquisition of producing properties and our ability to convert unproved acreage to proved reserves through our drilling activities.$ This evaluation is based primarily on vertical wells and only 2.7% of the PV10 value in the reserve report is attributed to horizontal wells.$ We believe there is a great deal of un-booked potential reserve value in our leased acreage in the Wattenberg Field and the Northern DJ Basin.$ We intend to prove up that value which is not reflected on our reserve report through drilling of both horizontal and vertical wells."
Speaking about the initiative, Mr. D S Kudalkar, Head - Jojobera Station, said, "Tata Power believes in the philosophy of improving quality of life of the munities living in, and around its area of operations. Conserving environment and augmenting social infrastructure is one of the key endeavou our munity development efforts. Apart from supplying water through tankers, we are also working with villagers on rain water harvesting , sensitisation on water conservation and pond deepening to increase surface water availability in the area. This will help in recharging the ground water and rejuvenating the neighbouring pumps and wells. We hope that our initiatives also help in creating enabling environment in schools by addressing low attendance among students."
