In 2012, he was selected as a finalist for the CNN MultiChoice African Journalist Award."
At the annual meeting, Mr Nakao laid out an agenda calling for a more innovative, inclusive and integrated Asia. There, in his focus on "three 'I's", he seems to have taken a page from my own time on the ADB board of directors and my call on the bank to recommit to the "three 'P's' of responsible development" _ namely a focus on people, planet and partnership, with a special regard for the region's smallest, poorest and least developed nations."
