Education: Bachelors Degree in Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Nairobi Certified Public Accountant (CPA, K) and a Certified Public Secretary (CPS, K).
Professional Career: Hon. Amos Kimunya was born in 1962.  He attended Njabini Boys Secondary School in Nyandarua, before joining Shimo la Tewa High School for his “A” Levels. He graduated from the University of Nairobi in 1986 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting option. Hon. Kimunya is a qualified accountant, and a fellow of both the Institutes of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), and Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya (ICPSK). Kimunya has worked with various accounting firms, including Carr, Stanyer Gitau and company, Nairobi, and Neville Russell Chartered Accountants, London, Finmans Consulting and Matrix Development Consultants, Nairobi.Hon. Kimunya has served on several boards, including past Chairman of ICPAK, Advisory Board of the Kenya Anti-Corruption Authority, Muthaiga Golf Club, among others. He joined politics during the 2002 general elections and won the Kipipiri Parliamentary seat on a NARC ticket.  He was appointed in 2003 as Minister for Lands and Settlement, and also handled the Housing portfolio, Minister for Finance in 2006, and Trade in 2009 to date and also Acting Minister of Transport.
