Quotes

...Richard is the new cabin boy after they had to give Dave "the long walk on the short plank for loud snoring and crimes against humanity in the heads."
Mr Jones, chairman and standard bearer, said: "This closure has been brought about by old age. We don’t have enough people to serve on the committee and take on the work to keep the branch alive. For our members, more than one tear was shed as the standard was laid up because of its history. It is sad to see the branch close, but there was nothing else we could do."
"I want to say a huge thank you for the incredible support I have received from the team at BLESMA," he said. "I have been on several rehab events with them and it really helped me regain my strength and focus when I needed it the most."
"I wanted to undertake a charity challenge of some kind and walking the Fosse Way was a bit unusual," said Matt. "As an ex-soldier I am aware of the amazing work done by BLESMA to support limbless veterans. Steve has been involved with the Anthony Nolan Trust and wanted to help them further. We hope to raise as much money as we can for two very worthwhile causes."
