Quotes

Justice Mullings sentenced him to a three-year conditional discharge and a restitution of over USD 65,800.  "In carrying out his scheme, the defendant falsified medical tests by recycling old patient test results which he then used to cheat insurance companies out of tens of thousands of dollars. This case makes clear that law enforcement's fight against insurance fraud is ongoing and that those who cheat will be held accountable" Brown said in a statement
"Am I for somebody getting a pardon and expungement at the same time? No. Am I for somebody with a violent offense getting a pardon right now? No. I'm for a person who's really shown that they have changed, they get a pardon and they get their record expunged" he told the committee
Councillor Neil Reddin Chairman of Bromley’s Audit Committee said: "This case shows that information from the public is investigated diligently and has led to the prosecution of this cheat. We will protect public funds and ensure that they are only used for those in genuine need."
...Mr Magri then punched the bus windscreen, causing some €430 in damages. Defence lawyer Maxilene Pace said the man had "understandably had a massive fright from the near miss and reacted angrily."
