Innes Willox, chief executive of the Australian Industry Group, said "the public were rightly appalled at the behaviour of the union and its supporters during the dispute. The decision highlights that no one is above the law, and that in a democratic society it is a vital that court processes and orders are respected."
"Today's decision demonstrates that no organisation in Victoria can consider itself above the law, regardless of its political or industrial influence" a government spokesman said in a statement
He questioned whether it was right for Mrs Hadgkiss to use a taxpayer-funded car. "That car is paid for by you and me," he said. "He's leading the code - maybe he should have a looklook at himself. "He's supposed to be the watchdog." Mr Hadgkiss declined to comment, but the Herald Sun understands the use of the car was within the rules."
