Quotes

NPM Capital was equally optimistic about the deal, its chief executive Jan Willem Baud, said: "FibreMax has a unique product that will change the cable industry. We are happy to provide the growth capital required to enable the company to achieve its potential for as long as this expansion phase lasts, no matter how far it reaches."
Langevin also pointed to the company's entry into the higher capacity truck crane market with its new 70t model, the TC700 being an area for growth: "the TC 700 is potentially a game- changer for the company, putting us firmly into a heavier truck crane category at a lower price point. Our expectation is that this product line has the potential to achieve similar success as did our 50t crane introduction of several years ago, that now represents approximately 20% of total sales or $40m."
Palfinger's chief executive, Herbert Ortner said: "Actually we are more than satisfied, first of all because we have managed to continue Palfinger's growth, and secondly because this confirms the success of our strategy. Without our consistent internationalisation outside Europe and without the new marine business area, our business performance would not be this good"
Paul Gibson, general manager for the company's Manitex Inc. crane subsidiary said, "The TC700 allows the final customer to select a commercial chassis, and ultimately offers very attractive economics to the dealer. Developed collaboratively with our launch customers, the Manitex TC700 is targeted to address specific applications as well as the continuing general demand for higher capacity cranes, and with a global market estimate of 1,500 units per year, we see an opportunity here for a highly successful new product launch."
