...His hostile perception on Malaysia was so unbearable to the extent that he wished Obama would cancel the trip to " an already tarnished nation '.Speaking to Asia Sentinel , the old 'macaw and diplomat' said: I don't have any problem with Obama visiting Malaysia, provided he reaches out to Malaysians on both sides of the aisle and all sectors of society, including the Christian community, whose rights are being trampled on by their government,” said John Malott, a former career foreign service officer who served as ambassador to Malaysia from 1996 to 1998 and who has emerged as Malaysian government's severest western critic. “But this has to be a visit that is based on the reality of what kind of country Malaysia really is today – and not to believe the talking points that Malaysia is still a tolerant multi-racial, multi-religious, harmonious, moderate Islamic nation, an economic success story, and a role model for others. It no longer is.” He calls himself a diplomat?Malott was never a diplomat and neither was him an ambassador. He came to Malaysia to spy the country, its system and the administration, getting more closer to the opposition than to the legitimate government, incited hatred among Americans and the foreign media toward the country and helped painted a bad picture about US-Malaysia relations. He mocked at our judiciary and the Constitution and tried to help the Opposition run down the democratically-elected government.Given the power and position, I believe he would advise Obama not to come to Malaysia, the host nation that treated him well when he was ambassador.  “So the issue is -- how can you talk about establishing a ‘strategic partnership’ with such a government?” Malott asked. “Maybe that is what will have to be downplayed or even canned for this visit. To me, the idea of a declaring a strategic partnership with a government whose faults have now been revealed to the world, day after day, seems politically unwise.”"
"The Gates Foundation and AGRA claim to be 'pro-poor' and 'pro-environment,' but their approach is closely aligned with transnational corporations, such as Monsanto, and foreign policy actors like USAID" reads , a Seattle-based grassroots group keeping tabs on the sinister work of AGRA around the world
