...According to news reporting originating from Poznan, Poland, by NewsRx correspondents, research stated, "Cyclic pyrazoles exhibit cytotoxicity to human cancer cells through apoptosis induction. We investigated the proapoptotic activities of two novel synthetic pyrazoles: 5-(p-toluenesulfonyl)pyrazolo[4,3-f]quinoline (tospyrquin) and 5-chloro-3-(p-toluenesulfonyl)indazole (tosind) in HT29 colon cancer cells which are characterised by point mutation (G/A in codon 273) in the p53 gene, which causes the lack of functionality of the p53 protein."
According to the news editors, the research concluded: "This contribution reports on the intracellular mechanism of PAMAM dendrimer cytotoxicity in human keratinocytes. In all cases, the magnitude and evolution of responses depend on dendrimer generation and dose. Experimental data were supported by numerical simulation using only two variables. It is suggested that responses can be quantified in terms of rate constants rather than effective concentrations."
"In a further aspect of the invention there is provided novel processes and novel intermediates useful in preparing the presently invented Akt/PKB inhibiting compounds."
