General: Agip KCO N.V. is an Eni S.p.A subsidiary that performs operations under the North Caspian Sea Production Sharing Agreement dated as of 1997 under an agency agreement with North Caspian Operating Company B.V.  Agip KCO N.V. is responsible for the execution of Phase I (Experimental Program) of Kashagan offshore oil field development including achieving first commercial production, complying with the strictest international standards for safety and environmental responsibility. In addition, Agip KCO N.V. is responsible for the project execution for  the onshore facilities of Phase II of the Kashagan development. The PSA contract area includes the giant Kashagan field, the first large-scale offshore petroleum development in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the Kashagan South West (SW), Aktote, Kairan and Kalamkas discoveries. The magnitude and complexity of Agip KCO operations requires an international workforce that is exceptionally skilled, experienced and capable of working safely in a challenging operational environment. Agip KCO is a truly multinational team made of representatives of 50 different nationalities. The number of Agip KCO Kazakhstani personnel, including experienced professionals, employees and trainees, is increasing yearly.  Agip KCO's offshore and onshore operations are located in western Kazakhstan, near the city and port of Atyrau, the location of the Company's country headquarters from where the operations are coordinated. By 2010 the majority of the company’s employees will be housed in a single office complex of 80 000 square meters on the outskirts of the city close to Atyrau airport and next to the Agip KCO training center. The complex will include office buildings, an auditorium for 350 people, a sports complex, a medical center and a dining hall.
