Bezeq Israel Telecom Ltd. is an Israel-based telecommunication services provider. Together with its wholly and partially owned subsidiaries, it operates and provides a number of telecommunication services, including domestic fixed-line and international telephone services, cellular telephone services, multi-channel satellite television services, call center services, maintenance and development of infrastructures. The Company also offers telecommunications services for other telecommunications providers, Internet services, data communications and provision and maintenance of equipment and services on customer premises. The Company's subsidiaries consist of Bezeq International Ltd., Bezeq On-Line Ltd., Pelephone Communications Ltd. and YES.Bezeq Wireline Bezeq?s wireline infrastructure comprises a fully-digitalized network, 2.8 million access lines and over 20,000 km of fiber-optic lines, allowing the full range of value-added services. Bezeq has built a network for ADSL broadband and other services, thirty-six, 400 gigabyte DWDM ring systems and launched an IP network for IPVPN services. Customer-Focused Service Bezeq?s organizational structure is that of a customer-focused company. As part of its declared policy of customer-focused activities, which puts the customer, his needs and priorities at the center of its operations, the Private Division handles everything relating to the service provided to the Company?s private customers, and is responsible for such areas as the service centers, Bezeq technicians and the 144 information service. Bezeq?s Business division provides superior personal service and communications solutions for the business segment. Bezeq also supplies a business data service, enabling businesses to surf at very high speeds of up to 10 mega. In February 2008 Bezeq launched the Data Center in Jaffa. The ultra-modern facility offers server hosting solutions and other advanced computerized solutions for the business sector. In March 2008 Bezeq again lowered the price of calls, bringing the costs to an all-time low. Overall, in the past three years tariffs have fallen by about 44%. Broadband Internet ? a Significant Field of Growth Bezeq has installed nearly a million high-speed ADSL lines and this field is one of the main growth areas of the company. Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Loop (ADSL) lines, which allow high-speed transmission and fast Internet services over existing copper lines, are part of Bezeq?s long-term commitment to supply its clients with the most advanced and best service. Bezeq regularly launches high-speed Internet products for its customers. On the existing internet infrastructure the company has launched BGAMES ? the first Games-on-demand service in Israel, antivirus software, the B-Cam internet camera, fax-to-mail service which forwards fax messages to the customers? e-mail inbox and B-Music, internet radio. The company leads the home network market, that is to say, connecting several computers simultaneously on a wireless network, with over 50% of the networks operated by Bezeq. The company is the only one that can offer its clients a total solution enabling them to have a wireless network where the installation and support is fully covered by one provider, thus giving them the simplest and best way to have a home network. Bezeq and the Community Complementing Bezeq?s position as the country?s national telecom leader is the Group?s commitment to Israeli society and the advancement of educational endeavors. This communal effort involves hundreds of company volunteers and an annual budget invested in computer courses, seminars for youth about the basics of communications, volunteer projects and assistance to many non-profit public organizations. Privatization The privatization of the Company was completed in October 2005, when core control was sold to Apax-Saban-Arkin. As the controlling shareholder, the Apax-Saban-Arkin consortium contributes its extensive strategic and financial expertise in the communications industry. Key Subsidiaries Pelephone Communications Ltd. (100%): Israel?s leading cellular phone operator, with over 2.6 million subscribers. In the past year, Pelephone has become the leading company for third generation technology, with more than 749,000 3G subscribers.
