Comments: Joint stock company "Trade house KazMunaiGaz" (KMG TH) was established on the 29 of March of 2002. The key policy areas of the KMG TH are: - domestic oil sales, - fuel supply for sowing and harvesting campaigns, - developing the KMG petrol filling stations network, - protection of national interests in areas such as: - national crude, product and gas export policy, - involvement in strategic business projects in Kazakhstan and abroad, - establishing mutually beneficial business links with oil prolucing countries, - creation of a favorable image for Kazakhstan in world markets2002 JSC National company KazMunayGas with 100% share of the state was founded by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan as of 20 February 2002 for the purposes of level increase of providing effective and transparent development of oil and gas complex and protection of interests of the Republic of Kazakhstan in oil and gas sector of the country's economy. NC KazMunayGas is a successor of CJSC National oil and gas company Kazakhoil and CJSC NC Transport of Oil and Gas. On 3 May 2002 ? N. Nazarbayev and V. Putin signed a historical document ? Protocol of the Agreement between Russia and Kazakhstan on delimitation of the northern part of the Caspian Sea. On 23 May 2002, construction of oil pipeline ?Kenkiyak ? Atyrau was begun. 2003 On 16 May 2003, the State program of development of Kazakhstan sector of the Caspian Sea (KSCS) was approved. In August 2003, N. Nazarbayev took part in the ceremony of the first oil start from Karachaganak field into export pipeline CPC. Karachaganak Integrated Organization (KIO) in August put into operation a new complex on raw processing and a pipeline connecting Karachaganak field with oil pipeline CPC. The processing complex includes plants on receiving stable condensate and on injection of gas surplus back into formation. At the end of December 2003, the companies KazMunayGas and LUKoil have signed PSC on development of sections Atash and Tyub-Karagan in Kazakhstan sector of the Caspian Sea.2004 On 9 January 2004, Kazakhstan-Russian agreements were signed on perspective sea projects Tyub-Karagan and Atash at the Caspian Sea. In October 2004, construction of oil pipeline ?Atasu ? Alashankou? (Kazakhstan-China) was begun. In this year the bank of oil quality was created in Kazakhstan. Database of hydrocarbon raw of the companies conducting production in Kazakhstan allows to identify oil batches at the different stages of its transportation, transshipment, storage. 2005In March 2005, NC KazMunayGas acquired half of the share of British Gas in the Northern-Caspian project at the rate of 8.33%. In May 2005, in Aktau the ceremony of acceptance of oil tanker ?Astana? took place which marked beginning of creation of Navy of Kazakhstan. In June 2005, JSC KazTransGas acquired 100% share holding of Almaty Power Consolidated JSC, as well as the memorandum about acquisition of 100% share holding of Georgian gas transport company Tbilgas was signed.On 6 July 2005, PSC on structure ?Kurmangazy? and Agreement about joint activity were signed between JSC Offshore Oil Company KazMunayTeniz and RN-Kazakhstan LLC. On 11 November 2005, medium-term agreements for transportation of Central Asian and Russian gas through territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan during 2006-2010 were concluded with OJSC Gazprom. 2006 On 12 May 2006, in Atyrau city with participation of the Head of the state the solemn ceremony of completion of the project for reconstruction of Atyrau petroleum refinery and launching the new plants of refinery took place. In July 2006, there were concluded deals on acquisition by JSC NC KazMunayGas of 50% participation share in JV KazGerMunai LLP and 33% share fraction of Petrokazakhstan. On 20 July 2006, commercial operation of oil pipeline ?Atasu-Alashankou? (Kazakhstan-China) was begun. In October 2006, shares of the Company KazMunayGas Exploration Production were floated at London stock exchange.
