"U SS Energy's independent petroleum reserve engineer Cawley, Gillispie & Associates estimate Buda oil wells in the sweet spot have an average estimated ultimate recovery of 325,000 barrels of oil equivalent (90% oil). Based on $90 per BOE, each net Buda well could generate almost $30 million in gross revenue. With the low cost of only $2.5 million to drill and complete, each net Buda oil well could average $27.5 million in gross profits before royalties, taxes, transportation costs, and leasehold costs. Oil wells in the Buda sweet spot are some of the most profitable wells to drill in North America and have average internal rates of return well over 100%. U S Energy has a market-cap of only $110 million and already has significant cash flowing oil assets in the Bakken. With up to 68 net Buda oil wells to drill, the upside potential of the Buda oil sweet spot is not reflected in U S Energy's share price."
"Central Appalachia (CAPP) thermal coal production was declining very rapidly, so I certainly expect some more mines to be closed in that region. Met coal prices are very low at 120/t, however, while we do think that it will recover by the end of 2015, we also think that some more cuts would be coming through in order for that to happen. I think the major curtailings had already taken place, but I definitely don’t think it’s over" she said from New York
The distribution company has taken several measures to mitigate the situation, he said. "We are purchasing 1,000 to 1,400 MW power from the power exchange and contracted another 300 MW through inviting tenders. We are also trying to secure gas for Uran power plant and if we succeed it will add another 100 to 150 MW" he said
"Economic conditions in Europe and Asia - specifically China - and supplies around the world continue to weigh on the market" McGillian said
