The Somerset County Soil and Water Conservation District received $75,000 for "Improving Soil Health Through Cover Cropping and Reduced Tillage in the Dairy Belt of Maine ", to demonstrate and quantify the impacts of cover crops and reduced/no-till corn silage systems on soil quality and nutrient management.
