Quotes

It isn't clear exactly why the juried flower portion is being excluded this year, but the statement posted on SEHS's WebWeb site states that "in (the) spirit of continuous improvement, we are building upon the lessons learned from prior shows (in making this year's component change)."
Andrew Try, chairman of Royal Windsor Rose and Horticultural Society, which commissioned the Coronation Arch, said: "We are not only hoping to enhance the environment for our local community but want to inspire young people to get interested and involved in horticulture."
He said: "The terror during the night must have been awful. Although East Grinstead was not hit often by the V1s and V2s – five doodlebugs landed here over the course of the war, while Battle was hit with a huge 374, – Sussex overall was hit badly."
"I was able to win a shed where we will keep all our gardening stuff and support a good cause" said the 29-year-old McNamara. "I feel pretty good about that.''
