...Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "It was important that we find a solution for retaining talented employees, many of whom have been with the company for over a decade. "Recognise it, but don't let them just disappear into the ether because that's not good for the long run."
Bob Walsh, Technical Director at Hamworthy Heating, said: "We wanted to select a local charity which is close to our hearts that we could support not just financially but also with our time. "Given the recent challenges the charity faces due to a cut in funding and its dedication to continue caring for patients with cancer, we believe that Forest Holme Hospice will benefit significantly from our support." The hospice has recently been awarded funding to undertake a complete refurbishment which includes bringing the wards down from the first floor to replace the offices on the ground floor. The plans will see the patients enjoy easier access to the garden and courtyard. Bob Walsh added: "Even with this additional funding, the charity still needs to raise 500,000 a year to support the unit's work and we are looking forward to helping the hospice achieve its fundraising targets.""
