Quotes

"We have been pleading to the police that I and my daughter were molested badly by the DSP's sons, but they are not ready to listen to us. I think they will take action only if something worse happens. I am not going to sit quiet now. Moreover, the BritishBritish embassy has even talked to the Indian government about this. It's a shame for the country, that even after so many bruises on our bodies, the police are not registering a case" complained Kuljit Kaur
saying: "This case is very serious and it will be handled accordingly."
"The Prime Minister had been saying this during his election campaigns that he would look at obsolete laws. He had been saying this. So, whatever he was saying during his election campaigns, one sees one by one tasks getting into the pipeline for implementation. The other countries constantly review their laws, they constantly update their laws; we still have a Police Act of 1861, we still have a Prisons Act of 1894, we have so many obsolete laws" Bedi told ANI here today
"So, therefore, politicians with strong criminal records, particularly charged people, may now find it easy now to become ministers. And if they are then the onus is on the Prime Minister or the Chief Ministers to explain why. So, I think it is not going to be that easy" Bedi told ANI here
