Quotes

"We wish to urge all parties to commit themselves to lawful and peaceful electioneering leading to the 2015 general elections. We must continue to work assiduously together to make our elections free, fair and credible, and to deepen democracy in Nigeria" he said while declaring open the meeting which focused on party primaries and ratification of campaigns guidelines proposed by the commission
Uba said: "We have sent a letter to the INEC Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega, and we expressed our reservations over the planned creation of additional polling units across the country."
For instance, Section 99 (1) of the Electoral Act states that: "the period of campaigning in public by every political party shall commence 90 days before polling day and end 24 hours prior to that day."
It is the way our people have degenerated over time. It is also a sign of poverty in Nigeria. There is an adage in the East that says "goats only follow the person that holds a palm front" . Which means that pro-Jonathan groups can be regarded as hungry goats with low sense of reasoning
