Quotes

"We are excited to welcome Jeff as the newest member of the Thunderbirds," Robinson said. "He comes from a great family, has been developed by coach Jeff Kline at the highest level of the CCCAA, and brings needed experience to our program."
"I am very excited that the Salt Lake City Police Department, the Department of Public Safety, and the Salt Lake District Attorney's office recognize that rape is a community issue, not an individual one. Their commitment to addressing the backlog of kits not yet processed is positive, and one we hope will be mirrored in every city and every county across Utah. My commitment is to protect victims of crime from re-victimization, by those who have committed the original crime or by the complicated and sometimes painful reporting and prosecution process. It is our responsibility as community leaders, elected officials, and heads of state to protect our community from criminals and the behaviors that allow them to continue to commit crimes in our neighborhoods."
...we do have an obligation to ensure that these lands are being used in a safe and responsible manner," stated Utah County Sheriff James O Tracy. "Within those parameters, we strongly encourage individuals and families to enjoy the variety of open lands available within Utah County."
...She said, "Overdoses are deaths that are easily preventable. Good Samaritan laws like HB 11 allow people to report overdoses without fear that they will be targeted for prosecution, freeing them to save a life. Advances in medicine and technology and now the law have created opportunities for second chances with the administration of 'Narcan'. Our hope is that these new laws will save lives and get people into treatment for addiction to opiate drugs, both legal prescription painkillers and illegal drugs like heroin."
