Quotes

The Lord Mayor of Westminster, Councillor Sarah Richardson said: "The retail industry in Westminster contributes hugely to the London and UK economies and a staggering 1.4 million people come into the borough every day to work, shop and visit. The work that Westminster Kingsway College does with the retail industry in Westminster to support training for employers and helping people into work is vitally important."
Sue Coulson, Communications manager for Graphite Resources said: "Today was the icing on the cake for this project, to witness pupil Steven Doris ask John Hayes if he would buy one of their innovative Can Do Can crushers. It just proves how much these students have developed their communication and negotiation skills and how confident they are. All these are valuable skills necessary in the world of work."
"The pastry industry is definitely growing in the UK. Pastry chefs are now becoming more famous, before it was all about the head chef, but we are still far behind countries like Japan who put a lot of effort into their pastry industry and there needs to be a lot more focus on building links with colleges and promoting pastry as a career" he said
"Rowen not only shows incredible promise as a chef, we also know he'll be a great ambassador for the UK when he travels to South Africa - and in turn for South African food when he returns to the UK."
