"I was able to exercise and take my children to the Tree House (Y's child care facility), which is funded by the Dream House," she said. "I've met some great people there from all ages and all types of groups. It's a great environment. The services that the Y offers meets everybody's needs at everybody's level. Whether you're a beginner or you're an athlete. You can definitely gain and grow there."
Event organizer Gale Bromelmeier said the event "focuses on the latest attempt to fix this system. It probably will not be the last."
"It's teaching kids manufacturing, which we don't have enough of today," he said. "All of these kids now have a manufacturing background and know how to make something versus sitting there on a computer. It's physically here. It's physically running. They understand what it's all about."
"There's just so many questions as to what it really looks like how's it affecting me and my health care provider, etc." she said. "We're doing this as an act of education."
