Kailas Zanjari, vice-president (motorcycle division), said, "If the strike happens, the union will be responsible for the losses. We are capable of running the production line smoothly. Like last year, we will manage production from other units. The production will not be hampered at any cost. Last year, the workers had suffered huge financial losses due to the strike. We are really concerned for our workers and do not want to make them to suffer."
The AFL-CIO did its own survey of CEO compensation at 350 companies on the Standard & Poor's 500 Index. It found that in 2013 "the CEO to worker pay ratio was 331:1 and the CEO to minimum wage worker pay ratio was 774:1." On average, the CEOs of these companies received $11.7 million in total compensation:
"We actually found that 10 percent had tried to kill themselves as a result of bullying. That figure is extremely high, so it's incredibly important that schools provide appropriate support."
