...In her free time Linda got a kick out of spending time with her friends, square dancing with the "Lone Rangers Club of Prospect Park, PA, and proudly won high-pin badges bowling in the Frazer, PA 'Original Goodtimers' bowling league with her pals. At home, Linda was the special Mom to many feline children over the years, raising and nurturing her constant companions throughout her life: Patches, Puddles, Tosh, Sadie, and Mo. As a true animal lover, she never failed to ask about the pets of her friends, always remembering and referring to each one by name. "How is Ivory?", she would say, "I bet she is loving all this snow!". Linda worked most of her adult life as a claims processor for The North American Benefits Company, starting with them at their inception in 1992. She recently retired from Sears after nearly 30 years of loyal service. Linda loved her family and reveled in being an aunt. She was so very proud of even the smallest of accomplishments and never tired of hearing all about what each of them had been up to. Linda was the family historian, always remembering and recounting the vast and complicated connections that make up her family tree. Linda was the loving daughter of the late Edward Green and late Kathryn MacDonald, sister to Pamela Green (husband Randall Hawkes), aunt to Joshua, Adam, Dustin, and Brittanie, niece to Richard and Patricia MacDonald, loyal friend to Vicky Kirch (husband Ron Kirch), godmother to Sarah Kirch and cousin to countless members of the MacDonald clan. As news of Linda's passing spread through family and friends, the words that were repeated over and over to describe her were: sweet, kind, welcoming, friendly, cheerful smile and easy way, yet fiercely independent. She will be missed by so many and held close in the hearts of her family and friends. Your work here is done, Linda. God's speed on your journey home. Memorial Service will be Saturday, April 5th, 12 Noon, in Wayne United Methodist Church, 210 S Wayne Ave., Wayne where relatives and friends may call after 11:30 A M In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to Chester County SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380.
