Monsoon hits Kerala coast

Thiruvananthapuram, June 5 : The annual southwest monsoon, considered the key to agriculture, hit Kerala coast on Tuesday thereby bringing much-needed relief to the farming community.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) made the monsoon announcement today when 50 percent of the 14 observation stations in Kerala and Lakshadweep islands...
