"Many industries want data that we currently don't collect," said NASS Associate Administrator Renee Picanso. "There are also some data that people think are no longer relevant with changing trends in agriculture. This is the time to express those ideas and concerns."
"Increased demand will lead to an increase in the price for mushrooms," American Mushroom Institute President Laura Phelps said in a press release. "Growers and shippers continue to face challenges of higher production costs, including raw materials, wages and energy. There are still gaps left by the closure of large farms. With tight supply, prices should be moving up to meet demand."
"Iowa saw some spotty precipitation again last week, but significant parts of the state have missed some of the recent rainfalls and are reaching the point where some moisture is needed. Crop conditions in much of the state remain very good, especially in areas that have received some timely rainfall" Northey said
"The August forecasts were unchanged from the June forecasts. History suggests that final acreage estimates will differ from current forecasts, with the direction and magnitude of those changes being the issue.”"
