"Empire State Marathon has a brand new marathon course, which wraps around over onto the west side trail, which is exciting and beautiful for all the runners. It creates a more safe race for us this year, so we don't have to worry about our runners being in any danger of being on open roads with other car traffic" said Lisa Ellis, the Empire State Marathon director
