Students are selected for scholarships based on three main factors: financial need, academic potential and motivation to succeed
"It's devastating and obviously it reminds us of what we're doing," Anderson said of Charlottesville's search for Graham. "We think of how can we get there quicker. How can we launch on that campus? How can we empower those students?"
"We're responding to what the new needs are," Northampton Community College President Mark Erickson said Monday. "The needs of health care have changed, and the same with manufacturing. This [grant] is kind of a boost in the arm to amplify things that we're already doing."
