"One of the things we are looking at are uses of the treated water," she said. "Ironhouse has a very high-tech plant. We treat our water to a purity that's considerably higher than the standards. Our water can be used for irrigation. It doesn't make sense for us to dump it in a river during a severe drought. It doesn't mean the solutions are easy because delivery is an issue in itself, but it should be discussed."
"In a time of widespread obesity, any action to discourage people from exercising is ridiculous," said Madrano, a park user for 35 years. "It's government's role to provide what people need, and if that means hiring more people to enforce rules or building a bigger parking lot, they should do it."
