Board officials say they decided to lower the license fee to encourage more tavern owners to apply.  PLCB Chairman Joseph "Skip" Brion says, "More licenses means more revenue for the commonwealth.”  Applicants will still have to pay a non refundable application fee. Of that, $1,000 goes to the PLCB for processing and 1,000 foes to the Pennsylvania Gaming Commission for a background investigation."
