"While I have been invited to consider standing in Maranoa, whenever people have suggested it, I have said my focus remained on the SouthernSouthern Downs."
"Last year they (Pulse Health) gave us a pay increase that added about $1 an hour to our pay" Ms Villani said
..."Staff with 30 years experience have basically had their loyalty betrayed," Mr May said. "There will now be no public imaging services at Rockhampton, Gladstone, Emerald or Biloela hospitals. "There has been no proper consultation with the community or planning around how this transition will affect integrated health services at a key regional hospital ... this is all about money." Yesterday a hospital spokeswoman said that was not the case. Medical imaging staff, including radiographers and sonographers, will be employed by CQ Radiology through a transfer of business later this year. All other staff, including nurses, administration officers and operational service officers will have a position with Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service. In stark contrast to Mr May's claims, the health board's chairman said the move was all about providing a better imaging services. Mr Ware said the decision was not about money and the cost was only slightly less than what was spent. "There is no cost to our public patients - this service is paid for by CQHHS," he told The Morning Bulletin earlier this week. "The opportunity for us to tap into an expert medical imaging provider who can deliver more services in more locations was just too good a proposition for us to pass up ... every employee will have a position." "Our clinicians will have better equipment and access to more expert knowledge, which means they will be able to deliver safer care to our patients." Mr Ware said the transition would be complete in October 2014. Topics"
A statement from her family says Ms Mahady took care of people. "She was devoted to and immeasurably proud of her husband Dereck, son Conor and daughter Ciara" it stated
