Addressing a special session at Nepal's parliament, Modi said: "We have believed that it is not our work to interfere in what you (Nepal) do but to support you in the path you decide to take."
...to have taken to this story well and is making great photo-op history with it! First Post has this to say about the timing of the happy reunion: "For a man who claims he has no time to watch Bollywood films, Modi understands the theatrics of timing better than most film directors. He can spring a surprise like no one else. And he knows the perfect moment. Jeet it turns out had visited Nepal last in 2011/12 for Diwali according to the Hindustan Times. But there’s no mention that he met his family at that time or it had even been located by then. If he had met them then how was this the grand reunion after 16 years? If this was indeed the big reunion the question is if Binod Choudhary was so prompt with his detective work for Modi why did the meeting take this long? [...] Why indeed? As any director will tell you it’s all about timing, timing, timing."
"I started showing concern for Jeet Bahadur. Gradually he took interest in academics, sports and even learnt Gujarati," Modi said in his Tweet. "Thankfully, we were able to locate his parents. This was because he has six fingers on his foot" Modi added
Describing how him the young boy met and helped him, Modi wrote on Twitter , "Some of my personal feelings are attached with my Nepal's visit. Years ago, I met a helpless and lost child from Nepal, Jeet Bahadur, who didn't know where he was headed and what he had to do. He did not even know anyone in Gujarat...he was unfamiliar with the Gujarati language. I was concerned about his future...gradually, he started taking interest in studies and sports...he even learnt Gujarati."
