Quotes

"All sending districts currently pay under these guidelines set by the state, and that is the formula we will continue to use" Kirkwood Superintendent Tom Williams said
...with lunch, we'll think we'll have even better results with helping kids not be hungry at school," said Jana Shortt, district spokeswoman.  "We have a large population of kids that just didn't quite meet the criteria for application, but still weren't able to get food."
A spokeswoman for the Normandy Schools Collaborative wouldn't comment on the lawsuit. "Since we haven't seen it we aren't commenting since it's pending litigation" she said
Citing the state’s transfer law , which has been upheld twice by the Missouri Supreme Court, the suit says the law clearly says that if a district "does not maintain an accredited school,” students living in the district may transfer, with the home district paying the tuition."
