Quotes

"It was from my father, the late K V Neelakantan Namboothiri, that I inherited a liking for agriculture. From 2000 onwards, I have been active in organic farming along with my husband. I chose to do this once I understood the benefits of the organic produce" says Sreeja, who has won awards from the Sangeetha Natak Akademi and Sahitya Akademi for her writings...
The translated book has been published by Zubaan and the foreword has been written by writer and director of JLF, Namita Gokhale. She says, "Prabha Khaitan's story of her life and times is possibly one of the most honest books I have ever read. Sometimes it cuts too close to the bone for middle class comfort and convenience. All her life, she swam upstream, defying convention, defying prejudice, questioning choices."
"Bharadwaja's greatest attribute is his flair for story telling. His works proved that a writer has a social awareness and his work a human purpose" the statement said
Recalling his long years of struggle for livelihood and insults hurled at him because of his lack of formal education, Bharadwaja said "I am happy that some of my works are now the prescribed text-books for post-graduate students."
