"We are very proud of the dedication and commitment this year's honorees have displayed to the industry. Each, in their own way, has left a lasting contribution on the school transportation industry, and we commend them for their efforts" stated NSTA President Tim Flood
"We are committed to getting away from the terrible early start times next year. The change made to the contract makes it difficult, if not impossible, to do that" Germantown Municipal School Board Commissioner Ken Hoover said
Series Director Andy Korte, who gave up racing to get involved in promoting, and currently runs the W A R (Wingless Auto Racing) Series, said, "The first two events were a huge success for us and we're really looking forward to the fair races. Hopefully we will get some more local riders. We travel all over Missouri, Kansas, and Illinois with the WAR Series, so it will be nice to come back here to our local fair and put on a show for our friends and neighbors!"
"We believe this legislation is totally unnecessary and will greatly increase the exposure of district budgets to the volatility of state revenues during the next downturn. We believe that student programs and employment security for the members of the unions that supported the bill will be adversely affected" says School Services
