...Jennifer Holmgren told Bloomberg that the company is mulling initial share sale to raise the funds after the plant begins operations in 2015. "We started our business development in China because it has 60 percent of the world's steel industry. "We have relationships with steel mills in India and Korea but in terms of moving those to commercial projects I would say they're at least six to 12 months behind," added Holmgren. Meanwhile, the plant planned for Baosteel will have annual production capacity of 1-12 million gallons, while the one for Shougang will have about 25 million gallons a year."
"Some of the large producers sell arriving cargo that they don't immediately need so they can buy another shipment due 2-3 weeks later. That way, they avoid storage cost and they get the future cargo at a cheaper price" said a trader in Shanghai who estimated resales at about 2 million tonnes over the past two weeks. (Editing by Richard Pullin)
"We started our business development in China because it has 60 percent of the world’s steel industry," Holmgren said by phone. "We have relationships with steel mills in India and Korea but in terms of moving those to commercial projects I would say they’re at least six to 12 months behind." The plants are funded by Baosteel and Shougang
"While the project continues to look attractive on a returns basis, concerns over capital constraints and balance sheet flexibility are increasingly putting pressure on management teams to think again."
