...the human rights organization recalled that, according to UN figures, only 28 percent of the required 315 million Euros have been provided. "France spent more than 200 million Euros on the military operation in northern Mali alone, so surely it should be possible for the international community to provide help for the needy" said the STP's Africa-expert, Ulrich Delius, in Göttingen on Tuesday...
"People are watching closely to see how the Malian army will deal with the Tuaregs, both armed and unarmed. And there is fear that there will be further attacks" Delius told DW
"The situation is dramatic, we will not be able to help our dialysis patients any longer if there is no help from outside very soon" a resident physician in Qamishli informs the STP over the phone...
..."But the real scope of the land grabs in Burma is much more serious," said the STP's Asia-consultant Ulrich Delius. "Many members of the ethnic minorities are either unaware of the committee's existence or they do not dare to approach it."
