Quotes

"Insecurity is the major problem in Nigeria, especially in North-east part. It's a problem in the mind of every Muslims and, therefore, we won't stop talking about it until something is done to address it. Every day, hundreds of lives are being killed, particularly in the North-east. We are worried about the number of Christians, Muslims, Fulanis and innocent people that are killed every time and, therefore, we condemn such cruel acts. I urge Christians to partner with Muslims to find solution to the security challenges facing the country. We are not out to fight for religion or fight, anybody, we are out to practice our religion as we are taught by the Qur'an andthe hadith. As Muslims, we should engage ourselves in good conducts that will bring non-Muslims closer to us in order to foster mutual understanding and, thus, mutual love."
"We notice that the increase blood shedding in our nation is becoming worrisome and as leaders we believe that this is not a time to say what is wrong or who is wrong but this is a time that we must all close hands to ensure the safety of lives and properties" they said
The VC added: "So when this problem surfaced, we explained it to the three affected states. This was why the government of Sokoto State approved as deposit the sum of N100m in respect of 2012-2013 registration exercise of its students. The money was exhausted but we made a sacrifice by accommodating the remaining students who were not covered by the deposit."
...on why the President shrugged off the carnage on Monday and was dancing with joy at the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, rally in Kano the next day. "This President has suffered a lot of psychological torture by terrorist activities... going to Sokoto was a loud statement that terrorism cannot stop Nigeria from running" he explained
