"it's also great to see visitors to clevedon seeing the lake at its best and getting a good impression of our wonderful town." the marine lake enthusiasts society (marlens) which helps care and fundraise for improvements to the lake is now seeking volunteers to join them throughout the summer every saturday morning to make sure it is litter free and looking its best. marlens chairman, joe norman, said: "we give a good clean-up on saturday morning from 9am-10am so the lake is safe and pleasant for everyone over the weekend." anyone interested in helping out should either just turn up or email the weekly clean ups are being held ahead of the clevedon tides festival, which runs from september 19 to 21 at marine lake, salthouse fields and queens square. this year for the first time the festival will include art and literature as well as a full programme of live music."
