Carl Blake, Senior Programme Manager, Skillnets, added: "The Tesco Positive2Work Skillnet Programme is one of the flagships of our very successful Skillnets Jobseekers Support Programme (JSSP). Funded under the National Training Fund through the Department of Education and Skills, the JSSP creates real value for young unemployed people by giving them both relevant skills and a work placement. Feedback from trainees is extremely positive, with almost half of last year's JSSP trainees saying they have gained employment since the training. This initiative builds on a wide range of innovative supports that Skillnets, through our 60 Training Networks around the country, is providing for the unemployed by working closely with employers and other stakeholders." For further information contact:
John Walker, Duty Officer at Drogheda Homeless Aid, said: "The link with foodcloud has contributed to a lessening of the pressure that we would normally operate under in relation to our food services. We have been able to reduce our weekly food costs by about 30% which has freed up scarce resources for other requirements."
Christine Heffernan, Corporate Affairs Director of Tesco Ireland (inset centre), said: "Even in the most efficient retail operations, there will inevitably be food surplus and we are delighted that through foodcloud's innovative app, we will be able to donate all our surplus food to people that need it."
...49pc. Fergus O Farrell of Savills Investments says, "This is an exceptional collection of Dublin based assets offering investors prime opportunities in both the retail and office sectors. Given the lot size of both the individual properties and the entire collection, along with the diversity of the assets on offer, we would expect significant interest from both national and international investors. Colm Luddy of CBRE says, "While property collections sold in the current cycle have been sector specific this collection offers an opportunity to acquire a balance of prime Dublin City offices and a balanced Dublin retail holding. While on an overall basis the collection offers scale on a number off the assets are likely to appeal to individual bidders.""
