Quotes

"AFRL is formulating plans to look at advanced vehicle concepts based on Reaction Engine's heat-exchanger technology and SABRE engine concept" said AFRL officials, in a statement recently sent to Space.com
The modules are designed to meet Computational Leverage Against Surveillance Systems (CLASS) requirements. "The CLASS program requires an integrated transmit and receive module capable of performing wideband self-filtering for frequency division duplexing with high dynamic range and efficiency, which this effort will provide" the Department of Defense said
"Our team is uniquely qualified to meet DARPA's XS-1operational system goals, having built and transitioned many developmental systems to operational use, including our current work on the world's only commercial spaceline, Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo" said Doug Young
According to NASA: "Hydrazine is an efficient and ubiquitous propellant that can be stored for long periods of time, but is also highly corrosive and toxic. It is used extensively on commercial and defense department satellites as well as for NASA science and exploration missions. NASA is looking for an alternative that decreases environmental hazards and pollutants, has fewer operational hazards and shortens rocket launch processing times."
